Yes! While natural stone requires specialized pH-neutral cleaners, our protective film allows you to use most standard non-abrasive household cleaners without worrying about chemical etching.

Our films are highly heat resistant, however, we always recommend using a trivet for boiling hot pots straight off the stove, just as you would with unprotected stone or quartz.

Etching is a dull mark where acid (lemon, wine, vinegar) has dissolved the surface of marble. Staining is discolouration where a liquid has soaked in. Sealers only slow staining. Our film stops both. See our marble etching guide.

Please use a chopping board. The film resists everyday scratches and its top layer self-heals fine marks, but sharp knives can cut it.

Yes. Film is applied without cutting or grinding, so it creates no silica dust. It is a good way to protect an existing engineered stone benchtop from stains and wear.

Engineered stone, natural stone including marble, granite, quartzite, dolomite, limestone, travertine and onyx, porcelain, and a range of non-stone surfaces as well. If you are not sure about yours, send us a photo and we will tell you straight away whether the film suits it.

No. The finish is entirely your choice on any surface we film. Most clients keep the original design intact, so Gloss goes over polished surfaces and Satin over honed or matte ones. If you would rather change the finish, the film does that too. We bring samples so you can see both on your own surface before we start.
